Beskrivelse | Microplastics, tiny plastic particles less than 5 mm in size, are omnipresent in the environment. But how much is really out there and how do we analyse microplastics in environmental samples?
Understanding how much microplastics are in the ocean is crucial for protecting marine life and human health, but it is not an easy task. We will discuss how these particles are collected, identified, and why it is difficult to get accurate numbers.
We will also look at the surprising places microplastics are found and the innovative methods researchers are using to tackle this global issue. By the end of this talk, you will have a better understanding of the complexities of microplastics analysis and the importance of protecting our oceans from plastic pollution.
